When to book it
Front desks, lifts and floor-to-ceiling glass
Every building here has its own way in, and getting it wrong wastes the whole slot. Some desks hold a key with your name on it, some want you on a visitor list in advance, some buildings need the service lift booked. Whatever yours is, put it in the notes when you book and the cleaner arrives knowing the drill rather than standing in the lobby ringing you at work.
The glass is the other Navy Yard specific. Floor-to-ceiling windows show every mark, and the inside face plus the sills and tracks are on the standard list. The outside face is the building's job, not ours, so if the view still looks hazy after a clean it is almost always the exterior and worth raising with management.

What a standard clean covers
Every visit, every room, the same list. In smaller flats the kitchen and bathroom get the extra attention, because they decide whether the place feels clean.

Counters, backsplash and sink scrubbed. Outside of every appliance. Cabinet fronts wiped. Floor washed by hand at the edges.

Beds made with hotel corners. Surfaces dusted top to bottom. Under accessible furniture vacuumed.

Dusted high to low, including sills, baseboards, blinds and switch plates. Upholstery vacuumed.

How do I price a studio?
Choose one bedroom and one bathroom. That is the studio rate, and it covers a junior one-bed too.
My building requires visitors to be registered in advance. Is that a problem?
No, as long as you tell us. Put the desk's requirement in the notes and register the visit the day before. It is the most common reason a slot gets wasted here, and it is entirely avoidable.
Do you clean the windows?
The inside face, plus sills and tracks, on every visit. The outside face of a high-rise window is the building's responsibility and not something a cleaner can safely reach.
