When to book it
Glass, dark surfaces and getting in the building
Frameless shower glass is the single most common complaint about cleaners in newer DC buildings, because a normal wipe leaves it hazy. It gets squeegeed and buffed dry here rather than sprayed and left. Dark cabinet fronts and black fixtures get the same treatment, dried rather than air-dried, because on those finishes a water mark is the thing you notice from across the room.
Most of the newer buildings in Shaw have a front desk, a fob lift or both, and several want a certificate of insurance on file before a contractor goes up. Put the entry arrangement in the notes when you book, and if your building needs the certificate, ask and we will send it across before the visit.

What a standard clean covers
Every visit, every room, the same list — with glass and dark finishes dried rather than left to spot.
Kitchen
Counters, backsplash and sink scrubbed. Outside of every appliance. Cabinet fronts wiped. Floor washed by hand at the edges.
Bathrooms
Tub, shower, tile and grout line scrubbed. Toilet inside and out. Mirrors and fixtures polished streak free.
Bedrooms
Beds made with hotel corners. Surfaces dusted top to bottom. Under accessible furniture vacuumed.
Living areas
Dusted high to low, including sills, baseboards, blinds and switch plates. Upholstery vacuumed.
Floors throughout
Vacuumed and mopped, with corners and edges done by hand instead of a machine pass.
Finish
Trash out, fresh liners, and a photo of every room sent to you before your cleaner leaves.

Questions about this clean
Straight answers.
My building needs a certificate of insurance. Can you provide one?
Yes. Ask when you book and we will send it to your building management before the first visit. It is a normal request in the newer buildings here and it holds nothing up as long as we know.
Will the shower glass be left streaky?
It should not be. Glass is squeegeed and buffed dry rather than sprayed and wiped. If it ever comes out cloudy, tell us and we re-clean it free within 48 hours.
How do you get in if I am at work?
Leave the arrangement in the notes: front desk name, fob, lockbox or smart lock code. Most Shaw clients are at work during the visit and get a photo of every room before the cleaner leaves.
